Importance of Global Citizenship Free Essay Example
Each spring, the World Affairs Council hosts the WCEC for third through twelfth graders. The goal of the contest is to promote discussion among students, global citizen essay, families, global citizen essay, and community members about the ways that individuals can effect positive change in the global community.
The contest lends the opportunity for students to engage in conversations about critical world issues with their peers, teachers, and families and allows them to gain confidence in expressing their thoughts in writing by submitting their work to a panel of community judges from both the business and education communities. Many teachers use the WCEC as a way to engage their students in real life global issues. The Center for Global Studies is a sponsor and partner of World Affairs Council Global Classroom Programs.
